Your authentic Garifuna drumming lesson begins with a brief background to Garifuna history and culture. Your teacher then demonstrates how to hold and strike your drum. He then shows you a basic Paranda rhythm, and when you can hold a beat, he will play alongside you on the smaller, faster and higher-pitched Primero drum while singing traditional songs. Moving along at a pace to suit you, he will then introduce you to other traditional rhythms, including Punta, Chumba, Hungu-Hungu, Jonkunu and Gunjei.

Just yourself! For the women and girls, don't wear a short skirt, as you have to put the drum between your legs!
25% deposit payable in advance which is refundable as follows:
Cancellations less than 7 days in advance are 100% non-refundable.
Cancellations 7-14 days in advance are 50% refundable.
Cancellations 14+ days in advance are 100% refundable.
Also please note that guests who choose not to actively participate on arrival will not receive a refund.
